Day 1: Mumbai 
Meet at the Chhatrapati Shivaji terminal around 16:00 to 16:30 for a warm traditional welcome. Complete the check-in process for your journey. Enjoy a welcome drink. After finishing the paperwork, settle into your cabins. You will now have the opportunity to explore the luxurious Deccan Odyssey train as it departs for Vadodara. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 2: Vadodara 
The train arrives at the first destination, Vadodara. Once the seat of the Gaekwad rulers, Vadodara is one of Gujarat’s most important cities. After breakfast, disembark the train.
Your first visit is the UNESCO-listed Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, the only pre-Mughal Islamic city that remains unchanged. The site consists of water facilities, religious buildings, palaces, agricultural structures, and more. Later, board the luxury train for a sumptuous lunch.
After lunch, visit the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum, known for its excellent collection of sculptures, paintings, and its magnificent structure.
This is followed by a dinner at the wonderful Laxmi Vilas Palace, the residence of royalty even today. Enjoy special folk performances along with dishes from royal cuisine.
Return to the Deccan Odyssey for the overnight journey towards Udaipur.

Day 3: Udaipur 
In the morning, the train arrives in Udaipur, the “City of Lakes,” renowned as one of India’s most romantic cities.
Enjoy breakfast while admiring the beautiful views of the Aravali mountain range. Following breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Udaipur. Explore the famous City Palace complex, which was built over 400 years.
The construction of this magnificent structure began in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh II on the eastern shore of Lake Pichola. The tour is followed by a boat ride on the peaceful waters of the lake.
Return to the train for lunch. Afterward, take a walking tour of Udaipur’s old town. Find fantastic items like puppets, lanterns, jewelry, wooden boxes, and other handicrafts.
Return to the train for dinner and overnight stay. The train heads towards Jodhpur.

Day 4: Jodhpur 
On the fourth day, the train enters the “Sun City” of Rajasthan – Jodhpur. The former capital of the Marwar kingdom, Jodhpur is surrounded by the Thar Desert and boasts amazing temples, forts, and palaces.
After breakfast, enjoy a free day with options: you can visit a luxury hotel for a relaxing spa session or visit the Bishnoi tribal village along with pottery and weaving villages.

Lunch aboard the luxury train is followed by a tour of the “Blue City.” Now get ready to explore the mighty Mehrangarh Fort, located in the middle of the brown sands of the Thar.
One of the largest forts in the country, it was built by Rao Jodha in 1459 on a 150m-high hill. Part of it has been turned into a museum, housing royal palanquins, armory, paintings, costumes, royal personal belongings, and more.
Don’t miss the colorful Turban Gallery. This is followed by a wall around the city to glimpse local life. Pass through the market by the old clock tower and the extremely eye-catching havelis.
The evening includes a BBQ dinner with Marwar delicacies served in the royal courtyard of Mehrangarh Fort.
Delight in the beautiful views from the top.
Return to the train as it heads to the next destination, the Mughal city of Agra.

Day 5: Jaipur 
On the fifth day, explore the capital city of Rajasthan, Jaipur, known for its vitality and splendor. After breakfast, disembark from the luxury train and visit the powerful Amer Fort (Amber Fort).
One of the most famous forts in the state, it was commissioned by Raja Man Singh in 1592. While the top of the fort offers a beautiful view of Maota Lake, it lies within a series of wonderful structures. On the way to Amer Fort, stop to explore Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds.
This pink sandstone structure is famous for its unique honeycomb-like design. The next attraction is the City Palace, a charming complex known for its carved doors, gardens, beautiful palaces, courtyards, and a museum with an excellent collection.
Pass by the UNESCO World Heritage site: Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh in the 18th century. Enjoy a lavish lunch at an urban hotel.
Afterward, you have options: relax with a spa session or visit the bustling and colorful local markets in Jaipur for traditional crafts, clothing, bracelets, jewelry, and more.
Return to the train in the evening for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Agra 
Arrive in Agra in the morning, home to some of the most magnificent architectural gems built by Mughal emperors during their reign. After a relaxed breakfast, get ready to visit the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, this white marble mausoleum took 22 years to complete and is adorned with precious and semi-precious stones.
Enjoy lunch at a city hotel.
After lunch, visit the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, known as the ‘Baby Taj.’ Another beautiful white marble mausoleum commissioned by Nur Jahan, the wife of Emperor Jahangir, in memory of her father Ghiyas Beg.
Don’t miss the wonderful lattices. The next visit is the powerful Agra Fort, another Mughal architectural gem. While part of the fort complex, made of red sandstone, was built by Emperor Akbar, the other part, made of white marble, was a favorite of Emperor Shah Jahan. The complex contains several structures within its bounds.
After sightseeing, you have options: choose a relaxing spa session in a popular urban hotel or visit the local markets of Agra, famous for their Mughal-style ornaments and special marble-inlaid artifacts.
Board the Deccan Odyssey for dinner and an overnight stay. The luxury train departs for Sawai Madhopur.

Day 7: Sawai Madhopur – Ranthambore National Park 
Day 7 is exciting. The train heads to Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, popular for the renowned Ranthambore National Park.
One of the largest national parks in the northern part of India, it is known for its decent population of big cats and is one of India’s best tiger reserves.
After an early breakfast, embark on a wildlife safari inside the national park. Along with the big cats, you will also spot species like Chinkara, Nilgai, Sambhar, Sloth Bear, Chital, and more. About 272 species of resident and migratory birds call this park home.
Return to the train for a hearty lunch. You can also opt for a village safari, interacting with turbaned men and colorful women in ghagra-choli. Engage with the locals.
Next, enjoy an English tea at a popular royal family hunting lodge in the region. In the evening, return to the train for dinner and an overnight stay as it heads towards the Pink City of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

Day 8: New Delhi
On the last day, the train returns to Delhi. After an early breakfast, disembark the train at the Delhi Cantt railway station.
