Kumbh Mela with Lucknow

(Delhi – Prayagraj – Lucknow – Agra – Jaipur – Delhi)

Day 01 – ARRIVAL IN DELHI
Upon arrival, meet our representative and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 – DELHI
In the morning, visit Old Delhi, including Jama Masjid and Raj Ghat. Enjoy a fascinating Rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, exploring its typical markets and bazaars. In the afternoon, continue with a tour of New Delhi, visiting Qutub Minar, India Gate, the Government Buildings area, the Presidential Palace, Parliament, and the Sikh Temple. Accommodation at the hotel.

Day 03 – DELHI – PRAYAGRAJ BY VANDE BHARAT TRAIN
At the appropriate time, transfer to the Train Station to board the train to Prayagraj. Upon arrival, transfer to the camp. Overnight at the camp.

Day 04 – PRAYAGRAJ / KUMBH MELA
Start the day with a sacred bath at Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the invisible Saraswati rivers. After returning to the camp, enjoy breakfast and spend the rest of the day exploring the Kumbh Mela at your leisure.
On bathing days (Shahi Snan), it is a paradise for photographers and spiritually inspired travelers. On this day, you can witness crowds of Naga Sadhus going for a dip in the holy river—likely the only place in the world where such a sight is visible.
A full day to explore Kumbh, interact with Sadhu/Mahatma, and participate in the Ganga Aarti at Sangam. Visit the Akhara camp and Naga Sadhus for a unique and spiritual experience. Enjoy a tour of Akharas, the world’s largest temporary tent city. An Akhara is a practice place with accommodation and training facilities on the path to spiritual enlightenment. Juna Akhara is one of the largest sects at the Kumbh Mela. The sadhus are divided into four main categories: Nagas (Sanyasis), Vairagi.
Dinner will be served at our camp, where you can stay overnight. Please note that all sightseeing will be done on foot and at your own pace.

Day 05 – PRAYAGRAJ
In the morning, after breakfast, visit nearby places and temples. Return to the camp for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, visit the Akharas camp and prepare for a divine day. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 06 – PRAYAGRAJ
In the morning, after breakfast, visit nearby places and temples. Return to the camp for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, visit the Akharas camp again for another spiritual experience. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 07 – PRAYAGRAJ – LUCKNOW BY SURFACE
Breakfast at the camp. Later, drive to Lucknow. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Then, visit Bara Imambara, a magnificent monument that recalls the glorious past of the Nawabs. It is known for its austerity in style, proportion, and symmetry, along with bold architectural techniques. Also, visit Chota Imambara, which houses the tombs of Muhammad Ali Shah and his mother. Built between 1837 and 1842, it is also called the Chhota Imambara. It can be accessed through a beautiful garden, and features a white dome, numerous towers and minarets, and walls adorned with verses in Arabic. Inside, there are chandeliers, golden mirrors, colorful stuccoes, the king’s throne, and ornamental tazias or replicas of the tombs of Karbala.

Day 08 – LUCKNOW – AGRA BY SURFACE
Breakfast at the hotel. Later, drive to Agra. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Then, visit the Agra Fort. The fort is essentially a city within a city, covering the Moti Masjid, Diwan-I-Am (Public Audience Hall), Diwan-I-Khas (Private Audience Hall), the Octagonal Tower, Jahangir’s Palace, and many other monuments. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09 – AGRA – FATEHPUR SIKRI – JAIPUR BY SURFACE
At dawn, visit the Taj Mahal, undoubtedly one of the most romantic buildings in the world. Known for its architectural magnificence and aesthetic beauty, it is one of the most magnificent creations by mankind to commemorate love (closed on Fridays).
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Jaipur, en route visiting the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri. This was the capital of Emperor Akbar, designed and built in red stone. The city is another architectural marvel. Continue the drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.

Day 10 – JAIPUR
Morning: Visit Amber Fort on an elephant ride. The miniatures painted on the walls depict hunting and war scenes, as well as festivals. Precious stones and mirrors are embedded in the plaster. On the way to Amber Fort, make a brief stop for photographs at Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds.
After lunch, take a tour of Jaipur City, beginning with a visit to the Maharaja’s City Palace. Also visit Jantar Mantar, the largest stone and marble observatory in the world. Situated near the city palace gate, the observatory features 17 large instruments, many of which are still functional. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 – JAIPUR – DELHI BY SURFACE (260 KM/ 06 HRS.) DEPARTURE FROM DELHI
After breakfast, travel to Delhi. Upon arrival, transfer to the International Airport for your onward flight.
