Detailed Program: Treasures of India from New Delhi to New Delhi
Day 1: Sunday – Delhi – Agra
Begin your journey in Delhi, the capital of India; complete the check-in formalities for the Maharaja’s Express at the Safdarjung railway station in Delhi. Soon, the Maharaja’s Express will take you to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal. Breakfast and lunch on board.
Arrival in Agra: Visit the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This architectural gem was built by the Mughal emperor in 1632 for his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
Optional: Enjoy the cultural show, *Mohabbat-The Taj Show*.
Dinner and overnight stay: On the Maharaja’s Express.
Day 2: Monday – Agra – Ranthambore
Today, take a sightseeing tour in Agra. Visit the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site that offers panoramic views of the Taj Mahal. Then, visit the tomb of Itimad-Ud-Daula, also known as the Baby Taj. Return to the Maharaja’s Express and relax. Breakfast on board.
Departure towards Sawai Madhopur: Lunch on board.
Safari at Ranthambore National Park: Known for being one of the best tiger reserves in the country. The park is famous for its endangered wildlife and avifauna, including chital, sambhar, wild boar, nilgai, serpent eagles, woodpeckers, and warblers.
Return to the Maharaja’s Express: Enjoy an Indian evening followed by dinner while the Maharaja’s Express heads to the Pink City of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Overnight stay on the train.
Day 3: Tuesday – Jaipur
Arrival in Jaipur: Breakfast on board. You can visit the Amber Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site that presents a wonderful blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture, or Jantar Mantar (an observatory), or indulge in a spa at the Palace Hotel, or go on a private shopping tour, or play golf at Ramgarh.
Return to the train: Lunch on board.
Activities at Jai Mahal Palace: Participate in exciting elephant activities like riding, painting, or feeding them, followed by a dance performance and dinner.
Return to the Maharaja’s Express: The train departs for Delhi. Overnight stay on the train.
Day 4: Wednesday – Delhi
Your *Treasures of India* itinerary concludes today. After a relaxed breakfast aboard the train, bid farewell to your Maharajas’ Express and continue your journey to your next destination.
