Day 01 – Arrival in Delhi
Arrival in Delhi, reception, and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 – Delhi
Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning: Visit the historic city of Old Delhi, including the magnificent Red Fort, Jama Masjid (India’s largest mosque), Raj Ghat (a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi), and enjoy a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk.
Afternoon: Tour New Delhi, visiting Birla Temple, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, Qutub Minar, and a drive past India Gate and government buildings. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03 – Delhi to Jaipur (By Road: 260 km / 6 hrs)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04 – Jaipur – Amber – Jaipur
Breakfast at the hotel.
Excursion to Amber Fort, including an elephant ride.
Afternoon: Tour the famous “Pink City” of Jaipur, which reflects a glorious past and offers much to see and enjoy. The tour includes City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar. Jaipur is known for block printing on textiles, blue pottery, carpet making, and semi-precious stones. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05 – Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra (By Road: 240 km / 6 hrs)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Drive to Agra, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri. Designed by Akbar as his capital, it was inhabited for only a few years. Fatehpur Sikri is a beautiful architectural city built in red sandstone. Upon arrival in Agra, check-in at the hotel.
Afternoon: Visit Agra, home to the Taj Mahal and the famous Red Fort. The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built the extravagant Taj Mahal as a mausoleum for his beloved wife and was later imprisoned by his son in the Red Fort with views of the Taj until his death. Both structures are truly spectacular, and the Taj Mahal is now one of the wonders of the world. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06 – Agra – Jhansi by Train. Jhansi – Orchha – Khajuraho (By Road: 180 km / 6 hrs)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the railway station to board the Shatabdi Express to Jhansi. Upon arrival, transfer to Orchha. Highlights include the Jehangir Mahal, built by Raja Bir Singh Deo to commemorate Emperor Jehangir’s visit, Raj Mahal, and Laxmi Narayan Temple. Later, continue to Khajuraho. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07 – Khajuraho – Varanasi (By Road)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Tour the city of Khajuraho, visiting the Western Group of temples, renowned for their intricate carvings and erotic sculptures. These UNESCO World Heritage sites preserve the rich architectural legacy of the Chandela dynasty.
Later, drive to Varanasi.
Evening: Take a rickshaw ride to the riverfront to witness the Aarti ceremony at the Ganges. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 08 – Varanasi
Breakfast at the hotel.
Early morning: Boat ride at sunrise on the Ganges to observe the rituals of Hinduism. Witness ceremonies like the sacred thread ritual, head shaving, and food offerings to departed souls. Stroll through the narrow lanes to see various pilgrim activities.
Later, city tour including Bharat Mata Temple and Banaras Hindu University.
Afternoon: Excursion to Sarnath (9 km), where Buddha delivered his first sermon after enlightenment. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 09 – Varanasi – Delhi (By Flight)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Early morning: Boat ride at sunrise on the Ganges to witness Hindu rituals, including bathing, cremation, and washing clothes. Explore the city further, visiting Banaras Hindu University, Bharat Mata Temple, and Tulsi Manas Temple.
Fly back to Delhi. Upon arrival, transfer to a hotel near the airport for dinner. Later at night, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
