Day 01 – Arrival in Bangalore
Arrival in Bangalore.
Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 – Bangalore to Mysore (By Surface 160 Kms / 04 Hrs)
After breakfast, take a city tour of Bangalore visiting Lal Bagh Garden, which features a variety of ancient trees, fountains, lotus ponds, terraces, and various tropical and subtropical herbs. Also visit the Maharaja’s Palace and the Government Buildings. Then, travel to Mysore. In the afternoon, take a city tour of Mysore including Srirangapatnam – Tipu’s palace, the fort, and the Sri Ranganathaswami temple. In the evening, visit the Mysore Palace, Jaganmohana Palace, the art gallery, Chamundi Hills, and the Devraja Market. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 – Mysore to Hassan (By Surface 120 Kms / 03 Hrs)
After breakfast, take a Mysore city tour including Mysore Palace, St. Philomena’s Church, Chamundi Hill, the Bull, Maharaja’s Palace, and the Art Gallery. Then, travel to Hassan with a stop en route at Srirangapatnam. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 – Hassan to Hospet (By Surface 340 Kms / 08 Hrs)
After breakfast, take a tour of Belur and Halebid. Belur, the first capital of the Hoysala dynasty, is home to the Chennakesava temple near the city center. Halebid, the former capital of the Hoysala Empire, was founded in the 11th century and destroyed in the early 14th century. Among the ruins is the grand Hoysalesvara temple, the largest of the Hoysala temples. It was started in 1121 and remained incomplete even after 86 years. Then, travel to Hospet. Day 05 – Hospet
After breakfast, take a tour of Hampi. Located on the banks of the Tungabhadra River against a backdrop of majestic rocks, Hampi was the capital of the Vijayanagara Kingdom. The 15th-century Chandramauleshwar temple is located at the center of Hampi and is one of the most prominent architectural buildings on the site. The Vithala temple is known for its extraordinary columns with animated carvings. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 – Hospet to Pattadakal to Aihole to Badami (By Surface 175 Kms / 06 Hrs)
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and travel to Badami, visiting Aihole and Pattadakal en route. Located on the left bank of the Malaprabha River, Pattadakal is a UNESCO World Heritage site with 10 major temples representing early Chalukyan architecture. Visit Aihole, famous as the “cradle of Indian architecture.” Then, continue to Badami. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 – Badami to Goa (By Surface 350 Kms / 08 Hrs)
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and visit Badami to see the rock-cut temples, gateways, forts, inscriptions, and sculptures. Climb a series of steps to reach the ancient caves, all carved into sandstone on the edge of a hill. Also, visit the Bhutanatha temples. Badami also features eighteen inscriptions dating from the 6th to the 9th century. In the afternoon, travel to Goa. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 08 – Goa
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09 – Goa to Mumbai (By Flight)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival, take a tour of Mumbai visiting the Prince of Wales Museum, built in a grand Indo-Saracenic style, then stroll along Marine Drive, Mumbai’s most popular seafront promenade. Visit Kamla Nehru Park and Hanging Gardens on the slopes of Malabar Hill, which offer a beautiful view of Marine Lines and Chowpatty Beach. Also visit the Jain temple, Mani Bhawan, where Mahatma Gandhi used to stay, and the Dhobi Ghat. Then, transfer to the airport for your flight to the next destination.
